Our first public performance in London, brought to life with the visionary artist Tsunaina, inside the Raphael Cartoon Gallery at the V&A curated by Diet Partha.
Inspired by Tsunaina’s song Tissues, the material became more than paper — flesh and feeling, grief and gesture. Tissue as organ. Tissue as what we reach for when we can’t hold it in.
I designed a sea of red, each rose hand-crafted from paper — like the ones my dad used to make for my mom. A soft offering. A memory sculpted into form.
Each piece held weight — of heartbreak, of softness, of what remains. A landscape that accumulated to a sea of red texture.
We wrapped her in a cocoon that unraveled slowly, revealing transformation in motion. The red fabric created an extension of metamorphisis and drama.
