THERE, BUT FOR THE GRACE
Production Design - Theater

Set in a hermetic environment, the production unfolds in a world on the brink — oxygen is scarce, and survival uncertain. Three characters find themselves stranded on a tube platform, waiting for a train they believe will lead them to safety.
As tension builds and air runs thin, a seer enters, cutting through the space to reveal a future none of them expected.
The set was composed of four large circles. With only 30 minutes to tell the story, transformation had to be built into the design. The two larger circles became revolving doors — thresholds the characters could open and close. But the seer moved differently, walking through a circular scrim and breaking the rules of reality as we knew it.
Projections and lighting shifted the emotional landscape moment to moment, deepening the drama across a traverse stage.
Working within a black box theater instead of a traditional space allowed us to fully immerse the audience. The audience wasn’t just watching. They became passengers, waiting alongside them for something that might never arrive.
